They decided to offset the cost of buying the shirts by contacting local businesses for sponsorship opportunities. They provided three levels of sponsorship, and offered banner ads that would be displayed during games, ads in souvenir game booklets and featured businesses had their logos featured on custom t-shirts and stadium cups. This allowed the team to buy the shirts and cups without having a large initial outlay of cash.
The fundraiser was sponsored by local businesses that purchased advertising for placement on the shirts and cups. Sponsor’s logos were featured on school “gear” providing advertising for the company and the fans loved the cups.
